Long Beach Divers has been open on Hat Yao (Long beach) for at least 20 years and is situated right in the middle of the beach. It is a peaceful beach with a stunning view of Phi Phi Leh and about a 30 min walk from the pier (10 min by longtail), so is a good place to escape the noise and crowds of Tonsai.
The dive centre has a deck area outside the front, perfect for watching sunsets, with a main reception room inside, equipment room and compressor room. We also have a comfortable air conditioned classroom for watching the course videos in and a swimming pool for conducting confined lessons.
We are a small friendly dive centre that wants people to feel that they are having a great personal experience with us. Our boat is never crowded as we like to keep our groups small and we are quite flexible when it comes to planning your dive holidays making sure that you can make the most of it.
The Phi Phi islands are made up of six islands: Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Leh, Bida nok, Bida nai, Mosquito island and Bamboo island.
Phi Phi Don is the largest and only inhabited one. Originally a Thai fishing village, it is now a popular tourist destination for people from all over the world.
The main town of Tonsai holds the majority of resorts and hotels, with many market stalls for shopping, restaurant and bars, and Loh Dalhum Bay being popular for its night life.
The island is made up of two groups of mountains connected by a thin peninsula in the middle, so there are spectacular views to be seen all around. There are no cars or motorbikes allowed on the island so getting around is either by foot or by Longtail (taxi boat).
Phi Phi Leh is the second largest island. There is no accommodation as it is part of the National Marine Park. The island was used as one of the locations for the 2000 film “The beach” and has become Phi Phi’s main attraction ever since. The island is both beautiful above the water and beneath and is the main spot for Phi Phi’s dive trips. The other four islands are considerably smaller and are excellent for diving and some snorkeling (depending on which island).
Our custom dive boat “Oceanic 3” is a licensed dive boat with all the facilities for your safety and comfort.
The boat includes a sun deck, indoor dry cabin, toilet, fresh water and all the safety equipment required: emergency oxygen, first aid, life jackets, life ring and marine radio.
The closest dive sites are just 20 mins away with the furthest being about 40 mins boat drive.
Long Beach Divers is situated right in the middle of Long Beach so getting here form the main town of Tonsai is very simple.
On arriving at the pier there are plenty of taxi boats that will take you here.
The price of a taxi boat to Long Beach is 100 baht per person or 200 baht if you are alone. If it is after 6:30 pm the price goes up to 150 baht/300 baht.
Alternatively, if you are walking from Tonsai it is a 30/40 min walk along the coast, sign posted all the way.
